Pinder, one of my favorite laptop bag brands, has come out with a fatter model for those of us who tend to schlep a lot more than just a laptop. The Giddy Up is a good blend of function and style, which I appreciate after killing my back from carrying pretty but impractical bags. It's not too masculine-looking either (which is the problem I have with some of the backpack style laptop bags on the market). The Giddy Up comes in seven different color combinations.
I have a couple of the THIN line of Pinder bags, which also come in many different colors and are reasonably priced and very sturdy. The THIN model is now on sale for $39.95 until December 31st (down from $57.95).
Made of ballistic nylon exterior with faux leather trim, the Giddy Up has two main compartments, one for your laptop, and another for all your other junk (magazines, books, lunch, other devices, etc.). The zippers of the main compartments unzip all the way down both sides so that you don't have to struggle and scrape your hands to get things out. On the outside, there's an ergonomically designed throw-n-go pocket (i.e., it's easy to open and get things out of). Another nice design detail is the lighter interior color, which makes for easy viewing of contents. And if you want to be super organized (or want to give your laptop an extra layer of protection), you can insert a THIN bag into the Giddy Up.
Best of all, it's on sale for just $69.95 until December 31st (down from $125).
