We've been waiting this long, what's a couple more months? Art Lebedev has announced that the Optimus Maximus keyboard isn't quite ready for prime time yet, and will be delayed until late February. Lucky for us reckless early adopters, we can still get Art Lebedev to ship us the keyboard as is this month, it'll just be lacking certain software firmware update features. It also appears there's going to be a bit of a limited supply on OLED keys, which we suppose was inevitable. We can always buy more keys down the road, and we'd much prefer Lebedev get this out the door than site around a few more years waiting on perfection.
